Legendary folk musician Bert Jansch lost his battle with cancer today at the age of 67.

One of my favorite guitarists ever, his self titled is a 10/10 album, and his adaptation of Angie is absolutely amazing.

Rest In Peace Bert

I just heard that.

Loved his work in Pentangle.

Big loss.

anyone stricken down by cancer, is a hero in my mind. They have fought the good fight, and in some ways have won the battle. At least they are free from the pain and suffering that goes along with the dreaded disease. R.I.P. Guitar Man. And my condolences to all that were close to him. :(

+1

Pentangle deserved more acclaim than it got IMO

Sad to hear that. My favourite of his albums was 'Moonshine' from '73. Great tunes like "The First Time Ever I Saw Her Face", "Twa Corbies", "Yarrow" and "Oh My Father".

I think I'll listen to it right now, and raise a glass to Bert!

He will indeed be sorely missed. A legend and such an influence on many many musicians. His music will live on.
