I need to metal up my sound. Whats a good pedal to send me in that direction.

The only pedal I've ever heard do a convincing job of a metal sound, regardless of what it was plugged into.

I picked up an electro harmonex metal muff with top boost.

I use the Boss MT2 Metal Zone. In fact I have 2 of them. The one I bought in the mid 90's and another that my sister bought for me for Christmas a couple years back. I dial my older one in for a classic Metallica sound and dial the other one for a sound that I cannot decsribe into words. Believe it or not, the 2 pedals are very different when set to the same settings. You can get any sound from Classic Black Sabbath to Modern Metal. I have also been looking at a Boss MD2 Mega Distortion at my local guitar shop.

I have heard nothing but good reviews onthe Metal Muff by Electro Harmonex too. I just haven't found one that I can play with before buying.
