It was worth the wait though, eh...

Quite. There's seems to be much confusion regarding the ebb and flow of gear from Fender. A careful look at the stock of most vendors will reveal what is generally on the minds of the 'buyers' for these firms. The high end stuff is generally in minimal quantity with a plethora of MIM gear available. If you want a special order, feel assured that you are going to have to wait until the factory's production schedule finds its way to that spot in the product line. That appears to be the way of it in these times. As for a Masterbuilt Custom Shop guitar....fuggeddaboudit!

My guitar guy is supposed to call me when his store gets them in. He has had a chance to play a few and he says they are really good. A step above the Squier Classic Vibe. Since I thought thise were just as good as or even better than a MIM Standard, I cannot wait to see for myself. I am planning to either get one of the HSS Telecasters, a Blacktop Floyd Rose, or go ahead and put money down on a Strat body for a project I am thinking about.

In spring 1969 I ordered a new model 350 BSA twin that was to appear by October .It looked a good bike .It never appeared.I am still waiting .I ended up buying a Kawasaki which was awesome . :D  :x
But seriously these guitars look pretty good and that Jaguar and Marauder is very very very tempting.I doubt Fender will put their name on complete pile of crap so I am expecting good things . :)

They've had their moments, few and far between, and they don't last long.

This is going to be a tread water situation until the factory catches up with the PR blurb.

They are in the UK and selling well as far as I can tell. The Tele bass is attracting a lot of attention, especially since a few guys I know bought the butterscotch 51 P bass and then this came out!

When are these due to hit the stores?

I pre-ordered the darker Tele in September, with a ship date then of 10/10. The new ship date is supposedly 11/10. I won't hold my breath.

I saw the MP Jazz Bass today - looked good with Oly White finish,
blackguard and rosewood - the kid playing it at the shop seemed to
be in the process of purchasing it.

Haven't seen any guitars yet though.

I received word from MF on Thursday that my Tele had shipped. I checked the UPS tracking number and it was sitting in Kansas City. I checked again last night and it is now in Des Moines and scheduled for afternoon delivery at work this coming MONDAY!! Yee-haw - I can't wait!

They beat their 11/10 delivery estimate and I love that!
