For me it just depends on the quality .Not expecting miracles at that price range though the Chinese produce very good guitars at thgis price point when the OEM Specs dont spoil them .That Marauder looks good and the Jaguar in trans red looks rather tasty and different .As I have just got a new Fender Japan Thinline I'll pass on the Modern player version ..for now... but again an interesting format for all of them .Only the Strats seem conventional. All looks good Fender

I love this desing, but If I buy a fender jaguar, I like the desing of the jaguar, but i like more the stratocaster sound.

Is posible to buy a fender jaguar with these desing but with the materials and pick ups etc. that gives an american standar quality?

Best fender desing by far in my opinion.

Nice design. The Custom Shop can do that for you. It may have to be Masterbuilt [as opposed to Custom Shop {Teambuilt} if the design and workmanship requirements are unique, such as woods, finish. It will also be costly. You can assume a start price of around $5000 US. You'd need to find a dealer [usually Showcase Dealer] and submit a specifications sheet. They'll get back to you with a price quote. Showcase Dealers are listed in the Custom Shop website which can be linked through the Products Section above.

Whoever it was that came up with the idea for the modern player series;THANK YOU!!!
Such sublimely exciting instruments,it's like I've fallen in love with Fender all over again. Having a whopper of a soft spot for obscure Fender models I'm cross-eyed with joy to see the Marauder actually being a production model after all these years. There is no smiley to describe me excitement!

Word around some of the forums is that the Modern Player Series will replace the Squier Series with all Squiers eventually being discontinued(from what I understand the Squier Acoustics have already been discontinued).

The speculation is that Fender is concerned about the label snobs that won't buy a Squier believing it's not a 'real' Fender. By still producing the lower end guitars in Asia but switching the label from Squier to Fender, maybe FMIC believes the label snobs will now buy since the guitars will now be 'real' Fenders.

Any truth to that, Fender?

guys should look up the term sub brand... it's still a fender strat my vm squier feels like a fender i don't care about haters sure the bullet strat and the affinity suck but remember that in bombarding squier you're killing off the good ones like the classic vibe the standard series etc even the SE series are pretty good and some people would find these to be pretty rare i'm for the modern player series but don't kill off squier... what will fender do to the original squier models? (the jagmaster the duo sonic the cyclone etc)
