Very nice howardken52!

It looks like a real 60s Strat, or a Custom Shop mild relic or Closet Classic, but whatever it is it looks great (headstock decal not clear though). What model? We need some details man! :!:

The blue Pawn Shop Mustang is Lake Placid Blue, not sonic blue...

The picture I took brightens up the blue a bit, but it's definately sonic blue. Here's a picture of the exact same guitar:

The Sonic Blue guitars made in the Ensenada factory are a different shade, though, they are beautiful in their own right.

That's one amazing looking Custom Shop '60 relic, howardken52. Congrats.

I'm a Sonic Blue addict, too. Started with an Ensenada built Classic Player 60s Strat and followed up with an American Vintage Thinskin '61 Reissue. You're right, there is a big difference between the MIM Poly and the MIA Lacquer finishes. Here's a pic of both guitars in bright desert sunlight. The Thinskin MIA is on the right.

I love both Strats but the Thinskin's finish is phenomenal.

Perfect Example. They're completely different, but both beautiful. That picture you took does a great job of showing what they really look like.

Thanks. The contrast isn't as great with indoor lighting but the MIM Poly finish is definitely lighter. I love Sonic Blue no matter where or how it was applied. I am addicted. :)

Ditto to what SK said-my first choice for the colour of my next Strat.
