I thought I'd show off my new Gretsch G6118 Two Tone Smoked Green Double Annie.
Picked her up last week and It's just one fantastic guitar. Already bought the bigsby for it and should be on by the weekend.

Sweet guitar. Not sure the color is my taste but I'm sure you're digging it!
Congrats!

Cool looking guitar. Hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks! A fine addition to your collection.

I just know when someone says NGD that you get the feeling its either a Fender or Gretsch. I went to Muso's on friday and the guy would not serve me to a Gretsch and got me a Squier Strat off the wall. when i plugged it into a Blackstar amp it SANG!!! no hum in all the single coils. Sunburst standard one and really versatile guitar for the price. Their guitars are getting better!!! Go Squier! they're starting to beat Fender at their quality but i still like Fender no matter what. I am proud of owning my '07 Affinity HSS Strat.

That is a beautiful guitar! I don't believe I've seen a guitar with that color scheme before. Congrats and nice score! 8)

I am usually not a fan of the color scheme but on that guitar it looks awesome.
Congrats on the new "family member".

Nice gretsch cookieman looks like a few tone's to mess about with judging by the switch's / knobs, how many combinations available

Thanks Rip, One switch controls the tone, the other is the pickup selector both are 3 way. Also there's the independent volume knobs and a master.

Nice :) You will enjoy it. I believe that color is known as cadillac green. I could be wrong. I have a 6119 with a bigsby instead of the trapeze in red. The guitars are well made but the hardware could be better. I use mine for more jazzy mellow settings, but they will rock out as long as you keep them away from the speakers. They tend to squeal with that big hollowbody. The knobs can be confusing until you get used to them. Mine has one master volume, 2 seperate volume controls for each pickup along with a master tone and one 3 way switch for the pups. Its almost too much for my simple little mind. I see yours is a little different.

Love that guitar. Erin Mckeown very often uses one. Saw her a couple of years ago solo at an outdoor concert. She used that Gretsch, a Twin Reverb, some kind of pedal set up as a clean boost or a decent glob of overdrive, and covered the Jazz, Pop, Rockabilly, and some rip-snorting bar-room Rock that are her influences. I am greener than your Gretsch, sir.
