Then you would really enjoy the old "toaster in the bathtub" trick, it's literally a blast!

If you survive, you'll have hair like Neal Schon circa 1974.

Try living in a very dry climate.... You would be surprised how much electricity a powerful static electric shock can deliver... The funniest is when you go to shake someone's hand and ... ZAP !!... Not sure why those deliver the biggest zap...

 That reminds me of when I worked at Ft Ben here in Indy. One certain building was really bad with static in the winter. I used to always let whoever I was walking with go first and open the doors, and every time I could here the POP! Then try to keep from giggling when they jumped and yelled. I still laugh when I think about it.

i walked into the kitchen one day and saw my wife trying to get a piece of toast out with a knife. I looked at her and yelled "what the hell are you doing!" She had no idea. Se said she always did this if the toast got stuck. We bought a small pair of plastic tongs for her.

It's 15 or 20 Amps! Might scare you and make you go ouch but thats about all it will do.

And nobody has ever died coming into contact with that....really?

The worst bite I had was from AC current was from a 208 volt 3 phase duct heater. You never forget the taste! Had a few DC shocks grab hold. Damed residual stuff you think you got ride of on a board.

It's not quite as dangerous as you think. When I was still a boy I once had a string on the back of my amp with one end unfortunately behind the wall plug. So when I reached for it I got shocked and flew backwards onto the bed. Other than that it was rather harmless though. No burns, no loss of concisousness or somesuch.

Unlikely that you would have died of it. But I'd still avoid it, it's not very pleasant

Well gents,I've made a living for 35 years working with electricity and have been in close proximity with everything from 125vac to over hundreds of thousands, and the one thing I'm sure of,it will get you when you least expect it,you can never be too safe or too cautious whether you're only plugging in a toaster or working on a live 7,200vac line in a driving rainstorm....we have safety meetings here at the electric utility until you're sick of them, and then something bad happens, and you want to pay attention to everything.
I have a very healthy respect for it,both DC or AC.
I usually pay no attention to the phrase "never say never"...unless it's dealing with electricity...stay safe guys! :D
