A few months ago Guitslinger suggested the blue grill Vox amps were good amps. I wasn't thinking of getting a modeling amp but I looked into it and the more I looked the more I liked what I read. I started looking for ads on Ebay and Craigslist. I saw what looked like a pretty good deal on Craigslist but the guy was very hard to contact for several days and I nearly gave up. But, I finally made the deal today and I think I got a good one. The amp has the original NeoDog speaker and is like new except for a couple minor nicks in the corners. I got the VC-12 foot controller with the storage bag and it doesn't look like it's ever been used. The connection cable is in it's plastic bag and doesn't look like it's ever been unrolled. It's going to take me a while to learn how to use all the features, but judging by all the good revues I've read, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be happy with this one. Thanks, Guitslinger for the initial recommendation.

Very cool--that's a good looking amp...how does she sound? (Assuming your amp is a girl, like mine are...) :P

I worked all weekend at a charity event and squeezed in buying the amp late Sunday. I had to drive a hour each way. I haven't done anything except rotate through the various amp modeling settings and they were pretty interesting. I downloaded the manuals for the amp and pedal and filled a 1" binder with it, so it's going to take me a while to figure it out. With the pedal, it has 128 presets of artists/song voicings. I was basically relying on strong recommendations from others that know far more than I. I'm feeling pretty good about it.

I'm glad that my suggestions steered you to a great amp.I hope that the owners manual for the amp and VC-12 were included because without them you'd be lost altogether-an old Luddite like me is even lost with them LOL.Enjoy your amp and keep us updated with a review.BTW you'll never get tired of playing with the effects such as Uni-Vibe,Rotary etc. and the wah setting is almost identical to the original Clyde McCoy.If your amp has the provision of a cab to be run in stere' go for it because the difference this makes to modulation effects is phenominal.

PS-If you get really stuck for info go to the vox forums community at http://www.voxamps.com and message Voxman, the guy knows everything re: vox amps.
