Edit: I hadn't read your 2nd post where you confirmed that you'd gotten the gig but then again I knew that you'd get it.Good On you.Does this mean free backstage passes to all forum members?

Mr Fryer, being self employed since three days before the birth of Moses, I'm pretty flexible as to time off from work. That said serious consideration has to be paid to net profit from any gigs against estimated net profit of any time I have off from work. I've done it before and ultimately found gigging to be a big struggle to justify doing.
I ended up writing it off as a bus-mans holiday. A couple of months here and there shouldn't be too much of a problem to square with my preferred customers. As they know my work ethos when I'm available and find it quite to their liking.

Ceri, no mate, it's not Tom. Though he has just become a Fender stockist. I may go see about him becoming an accredited service center and offer myself forward for the Fender training. He already wants me to do shop setups. I wonder on the criteria to become a Fender service technician?

Adey, too true mate. A little scary too. I'm really not a fan of change. Much preferring long, uninterrupted bouts of humdrum and the prospect of more humdrum tomorrow. To excitement and adveture.

Congrats Nick, Let us know when and where you'll be in the states. I stopped drinking a long time ago but I'll gladly tip a pint with you if you're anywhere near where I can get to.

I'll gladly forgo alcohol for anyone that is teetotal, whilst their in my company. I don't have a problem with drink but don't want to cause a problem for anyone that may have.
Nearer the time I'll post a giglist. Then if I can get by you or vice versa, we'll see each other. I'm quite excited about it remembering the hospitality I found last time I was over and didn't meet anyone I'd ever conversed with prior to me landing.

Please no shotguns hanging in the back window of pickup trucks, dukes of hazard/Smokey and the Bandit style driving. Camping in the woods with annoying students making a documentary about local folklore. Mild mannered scientists with a tendency to turn green and shout Aaaargh alot when they stub their toe. Any kind of people with white pillowcases over their heads, big black dogs with orange eyebrows, bear wrestling WWF lessons, or people throwing tea into the sea shouting pi** off English.

I hope that you can fit little old Newfoundland into the Canadian leg of your North American tour.
