I guess this is the new stuff. Looks pretty good imo. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pages/fender-modern-player I would like to see these in person.

Love the look of the Tele Plus and the Jaguar with P90s- reminded me of the early '00s Toronado American Special. Awesome. 8)

I counted 7 new models, I've made maybe a G with my red P-bass, and close to that with my last six-string. What am I trying to say here....? Any of those are a money maker if you have a good massage technique. I'm picking the Jaguar bass over the Tele-bass. Have I missed the Modern Player promotion gomania16?

Ive been trying to find more info, but these necks to me seem very japanese in terms of how yellow they look on for example the Marauder. Not that I'm complaining, they look great!! Im looking towards one of these:

Or perhaps a blacktop tele with a pickguard swap... tough choice, but I do like the coil tap switch on the Tele Plus..

Anyone have any idea about possible lefty models?

(sorry to be a pest, but it's pretty frustrating pretty much only having basic strats and teles to choose from).

Im sold on the Tele and Marauder, thank you Fender! but i must say, a candy apple red would be beautiful for the Tele plus, due to its color, im pickin up the Black Marauder instead

Hi Bertles: made in China, if that musicjunkie page NC linked to is to be believed.

Now that IS interesting. If correct I've an idea it would make the series the first Fender branded guitars to (legitimately) come out of China, as opposed to Squier branded ones? And with a MIM/MIK style black plastic insert in the trussrod adjustment hole. And at around the same price as the Mexican product, too (or only a touch less).

Far as factory production is concerned, that's a major development. Especially given that Fender has put so much effort and investment in recent years into raising quality from the Mexican plant, and transfering production there from Japan. And very successfully accomplished too, to my eye.

I wonder if all the people who complain about jobs being "exported" from the US to Mexico are now suddenly going to find they want to defend jobs being exported from Mexico to China? I sense acres of new threads just about to break upon us.

Get your hardhats on.

Cheers - C

My only thought is that is sucks that instead of taking the Jaguar Bass upscale, they're taking it downscale into an entry level MIC model.
