Having a bad day?

I have been playing for over thirty years and there are tons of chords that I can't play, and I can't even play that well. It is just for fun, so I don't take myself so seriously. Bar chords can be difficult, especially on a very flat fret board, just takes building up hand strength, and develop the way that you place your index finger across the strings.

Have you tried searching for guitar tabs for the song that you want. If I can't figure out song chords from listening, I often find tabs for the song. Many times there also will be other helpful info along with the tabs.

This one for example, mentions using a Capo to make it easier. That would sure give you more flexibility and different sound.

Here is a good site to see how chords are fingered. There is more than one way to play most chords. Each variation will give you a slightly different sound, but each can still be basically the same chord.

Don't $%#@-ing quit! Just like Skynyrd sang, "troubles will come, and they will pass".

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

Hello Skirt So Plain!

Time for you to learn barré chords it is! Image

Check it out and keep practising - though don't overdo it, it will be a new movement for your hand and can result in some sore muscles if you clamp too tightly or in the wrong way. But I am sure you'll work it out and get to play that beautiful song soon!

Cheers

Nutter
