I needed some guitar strings so I headed off to the Concord GC as I approached the parts counter I was greeted with "Chet Feathers I recognize you" and an outstretched hand. Of course I knew right away it was fellow Fender Forumite Tim Drake! We shook hands and he sold me the guitar strings.

We got the chance to talk for a few when he went on break. He's a very cool guy and it was a pleasure to meet and talk with him.

It's also very reassuring to know that the guy behind the counter at GC actually knows something about guitars!!

That's fantastic, gents! Always good to hear fellow forumites are getting along well in the real world too! ;-)

Any pics made to commemorate the occasion?

Rock on lads

Its always good to meet your far away mates......some day, if the Good Lord permits, I am going to make my way down 35W then then hang a right in Kansas City and head west to see my friend Mike in Oklahoma and then on to the beautiful land of the large canyons to see the massive amp collection compiled by Arjay........if it is ok with them of course.

I have to say that in every exchange I have had with Tim he is a top notch lad! Chet is another one I really enjoy exchanging conversations with here! Now if only we could get CC to come back every once in a while!
ABS :D

It was a nice surprise indeed to meet Chet. No cameras were involved in yesterdays meeting, but it was nice to meet someone I've spoken with only online face to face. Chet's a cool dude and I enjoyed the chance to chat with him, even if only for a few minutes.

Very cool!

I have tentative plans to meet up with an esteemed forum member in
the near future myself.
