Familiar with this clip already.

And you're right - it is awesome. You usually saw Gary with a Les Paul or maybe a superstrat earlier on in his career, but he gives his Strat an incredible work out here that is not soon forgotten.

Some special few just 'had it' and the tools they used were irrelevant. Gary was one such, and he is surely much missed..

I fell in love with Gary's playing many years back and devoted myself to picking up all of his available CDs and DVDs. He was truly a great player and not a bad singer at all, though he doubted himself at first. I love all of his stuff, but really love his blues works. Too bad there won't be any more... :(

I really dig his 80´s rock albums! Killer ballads there too!

Now, would YOU show up to the 50 year Anniversary of the Strat gig,
with anything other than a Strat?
Well someone did, at the all-star number following Gary.
...ah, not my favorite player anyway.

Still Got the Blues and After Hours are still two of my favorite Blues Rock albums. I never thought he got the cudos he deserved.

Thanks for posting it.

There were a lot of ancient rockers on the 2nd half of the video.

The whole concert was great. I love Gilmour and Marvin performances on this concert.

I'm surprized nobody mentioned yet how Mr. Moore is the unchallenged king of the "guitar face."

Brian May only played a Strat for one short number at the show and the Gibson Acoustic at the very end in the arms of Ron Wood while a nice piece was also a bit of a faux pas as well.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
