Or, are you just reading it incorrectly? After '96, that would be "Crafted" in Japan, not "Made" in Japan which the first set of numbers is for. Doesn't your guitar say "Crafted in Japan"? If you continue the lettering after the last year shown for Crafted in Japan, the T would be closer to 2007, although they have used letters for more than one year before, and even several letters in one year, so I could believe that it might be a 2009. However, in any case you might want to contact Fender and ask them. :idea:
