Wow! Solid, those are fantastic pics. There's a guy there playing a real Fender Strat, we could never afford a real Fender back then and as that other guy got a Gibson, woah. What is that bass you are playing there? Looks a bit like the old Burns but..maybe not.
Yeah, I bet you had some good sounds with that gear.
We should do a thread with this. ' Show us your 60/70s pics ' :D I've got dozens of 'em somewhere, or some guys in my old bands have.
Fantastic!!!

That is the same Gibson Stereo Varitone that I'm playing here. It belongs to the drummer in the other photoImage
the guitar here is not a bass but a Supro Duo-Tone, in the other photo I'm giving the photographer the, ahem, song title which was an often used gesture in those days. This is from 63Image

great pics guys!...I like the old days,I've dug around and found a few from the early '70s,but that's the oldest I have,a friend who is going to put them on a disk has them right now...I guess what few I did have were lost in the divorce back in the mid '90s...I hate that.
Anyway thanks for putting them up!

Yeah I know what you mean, I've lost a lot of mine, it's like they didn't mean anything at the time but I'm gonna search around and look up some of my old mates.
When you think, these are now very important archives. Part of the history.

Am I hearing a little Wishbone Ash there, Rhumba?

Nice pic!

You too, SBLS (love that Bandmaster backline!).

RAWK ON, ALL!

Another cool photo Rhumba, great gear and those boots remind me of the big fuzzy ones my Bro wore with Grey Ghost, Ruby Jones band. I'm looking for another photo to post and no more oldies unless one of my old bandmates have some. Here is one from 09Image

Good morning Rhumba, I was just on the SAHB Forum and I always forget the time. Have a great day!
RIU, that was an old wood frame bungalow in Park Ridge, Il., 1909 or around there ( yes, but, Hillary lived on the other side of the tracks. She was cute back then  .), 10 foot ceilings with a second floor. Chicago winters can be brutal, global warming must not belong to any locals in the City

It's an amazing pic Solid, I thought that when I first saw it. It reminds me so much of the 1950's when I was a kid and I watched the tv programs that came over from the US like 'Just Dennis' and stuff like that, it's so authentic, what is that in the corner? a radio.
On a more modern take, I could imagine the Fonz living there. :D

Rhumba the Fonz would be about 90 miles north in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The city that made beer famous  That little box on the stand in the corner is a 45rpm record player, the little box on the floor next to it holds the 45s. How many hours learning songs and replacing phonograph needles

Your dad should have used a rubber.

Probably the best comeback I've read here.

Classic.

Now fellas theres something to be learned here. Don't try taking the piss out of someone wearing skintight leather trousers. They've obviously heard it all before.

Rhumba I think you should still be wearing them. Right up to the day you have to wear rubber pants.

Hi Nik, good to hear from ya man, are things going well with the new band. Hope so. 8)
I'm gonna have to lose quite a few pounds before I can melt back into those trousers again, they really were skin tight, I think I spoke an octave higher in those.
But I have already made a start on that.. oh yes..I'm shedding pounds as we speak, getting back into shape...Yeah!! no more Mr fat slob..hello Mr sleek. I want things to be like they were in the old days, I've still got my hair so I'm gonna grow it, I'm gonna dress totally outrageous and over the top. I'll post pics.
One things for sure. ' I Ain't Gonna Die Lookin' Old And Past It '
