Yep,people love to bash Gibsons,I've owned a Les Paul Custom since it was new in '77...it's the only Gibson I own,the rest are Strats....but that Black Custom is the best Les Paul I've ever played, and unlike some others here...I've got a lot of years being a tone junkie and using them in real world stage gigs, not just picking one off the wall at Guitar Center and banging on it for awhile.

I hate Gibsons. Overpriced. You sort of pay for the brand. They're the Alienware of guitars. You could scrape together a ton of Fender parts and build your own guitar that could beat the $@!& out of an LP or an SG.

Also, who cares what kind of strap you have? I've tied shoelaces to my guitar before. Works just as well as the plain black nylon one I have somewhere.

Wow, someone gets a new guitar that their proud of and you just start bashing it. Why waste your energy being like that?

I would go with a leather strap - nice and wide.

Also, why post a Gibson in the Fender forums? I'm sure Gibson has forums too.

There's nothing wrong with Gibson. I personally choose SG's over Les Paul's because Angus young used one

Yep, and Strats are talked about all the time there. It's not a big deal. Same with the Martin forum. I guess there's more adults and professionals there.
Professional musicians usually don't talk about one guitar kicking another one's arse. Players, sure. Not guitars. Some of us can get a cigar box guitar to sound incredible. Maybe when you grow up a little you'll have a different point of view. When you're finished trying all those expensive guitars do you tune them back up or leave them in dropped D tuning?

I'm confused. Do they allow brain amputations where you live or something?

Either way, thick leather strap = win for that kind of guitar. They're quite hefty, you need something that'll keep you unstrained!

And??? Do you still sleep in the same bed as her? You don't have to plug your guitar in every time you play hoping to duel with some other asshat. Your guitar will still make music without a chord plugged into it.

Nice guitar! As for the strap, I'm not really a huge Kiss fan, but Ace does play Les Pauls. So if you can't decide between the two, the Ace Frehley seems a little more fitting...

And i can do Voodoo Blues hehe Im a huge Hendrix fan i have 3 albums of him and some DVDs on him and a book containing his gear and amps. My strat has a alder body and the tone is just magnificent! Sounds like a 57 but plays like a 1970 strat.
