Please keep the Fender forums straight forward.
I love the current architecture of the site!
What´s up with all this complexity, some sites are beginning to look like a Nasa control room.
To me, Fender is the quintessential example of simplicity and functionality, a real American Value. I don´t get these guitars that sound awful when plugged straight in and need a bunch of FX to more or less cut it. I recently showed up at this jam with some kids. Plugged the Strat straight into their amp, and they were dumfounded. Their exquisite heavy metal type guitars and effect boxes seemed like mere toys then. Ah hell, I digress. Congratulations on the page Brad and keep up the great work!

Even this site gets remodeled. The last time was only a year or two ago.

Reminded me of the time I used a stock Fender vs a suped up Ibanez S. My guitar was valued at around $350, his was around $1400. We both did standard tuning. His sounded like $@!& ahahaha.

Agreed-there is no need to change the site, it works perfectly. Don't follow facebook in quarterly terrible redesigns!

...give me one of them expensive Ibanez, and I will trade it for a landmower.
Sorry don´t mean to get nasty, but there, I´ve said it.

I was on the UG forums and this guy said his guitar sounded really bad and he couldn't explain why. Later in the post he said it was an Ibanez. I quoted it and just left the word "Ibanez" and said "There's your problem."

Fair enough Nonni.
I am neurotic about change and somewhat computer challenged, so I got scared about the Fender site getting all these plugins and stuff.
As long as I don´t have to play an Ibanez I can survive the mild facebook inconvenience!

:D

Here we go again. Lets bash Ibanez now. It's usually Gibson. Nothing wrong with them. I own two Ibanez guitars. If they sounded like horseshit, I would have never kept them. Sometimes you guys are pretty clueless. I also have an Artcore that I put SD Phatcats in. Sounds pretty sweet and plays nice too. It actually sounded good stock too. I also own Fender, Egnater, Gibson, Supro, Martin, Yamaha, Dano, Morell and even an old Stinger set up for slide. I even own an old 72 Ibanez Concord that's actually made with real wood, no laminates that I paid a hundred bucks for new. It's still in one piece and sounds pretty nice. Statements like these just show narrow mindedness and possibly lack of musical experience. A lot of younger players use way too many effects with way too much gain. It can destroy the tonal quality of any guitar.

Hi 63.
I am VERY narrow minded, you read me right.
But about the bashing, I think it is great fun and nothing serious. I can´t picture the forum without things getting outrageous.

You can give Satriani a Fender. But you can´t give Beck an Ibanez.

I think you could give Beck a one strand and he'll do just fine.
