guys fender had that "make history" ad a while back that involved various people using their fenders and that kinda gave me an idea i want us to post projects where fender guitars were involved (even if it was just an appearance) ok so the rule is to not post the ones you have at home but to post various ways that fender guitars are involved in life so you could post album recording where you see someone recording with a strat for example or post a music video where a tele appears (even if it's a brief appearance) and i'd like to see the appearances of fender guitars in tv shows and movies (whether they were played or not ;) ) or even if they were just simply played live... heck even cover videos be creative people

i'll start with three examples:

this is an interessting piece of art they made for duff mackagan

this girl could really play:

i love this jazzmaster but there are more fender guitars involved in this album, dear fender why don't you give these guys more support?

That seems pretty broad. There are probably thousands of videos that feature Fender guitars. Any video by Hendrix, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, SRV, Buddy Guy, Robin Trower, Yngwie..........

yeah you're right... ok so i guess i'll take out the live idea and probably just narrow it down to fender sightings on tv and movies and art involving fender instruments

Hi ralf: I was in Florence in Italy recently. Imagine my surprise when I went to see Michelangelo's David. I'm sure I don't remember it looking like this:

...Was that the sort of thing you had in mind?

Hi Ralf if you can play this, about half way through a guy shows Billy his collection of STUFF guitars, zithers, banjos you name it I think this guy may have it could have made the entire show just showing his collection instead of a quick 5 mins
Billy Connelly's Route 66 a great show, Billy travelling route 66 on his trike stopping at places on the way

What? You don't think that was a real sighting?

Oh. Well then I don't suppose you'll believe this one either:

Oh yes ralf, there the real deal except that they're actuallly mirror images of the original. The originals were all left handed strats.

i know they aren't real but did someone actually create versions of the real art with strats as a form of art?

Michelangelo had Photoshop?

Gotta tell you, last time I was in the Sistine Chapel that Strat was right there in the middle of the ceiling, plain as daylight. Then the Pope came out to celebrate mass and he was rocking an Am Deluxe plugged into a Marshall JCM 2000 and doing some Townshend windmill moves between the power chords. He's trying to match up to his predecessor, who used to tour with George Harrison and Ringo Starr in an act they called "John-Paul George and Ringo".

...Or did I dream all of that?

Cheers - C
