Intrigued by the TC delay- any good? I have a BOSS DD-20 but it's a little on the large side.

So far i have been very impressed by the TC Flashback. The tape setting is very convincing indeed, it does have that EP4 echoplex tone. I'm not familiar with the Boss DD-20 so I can't comment a comparison with that. I'm currently working on a video demo. Hopefully, I'll be done this weekend.

The DD-20 is Boss's 'do everything' pedal- has Tape, Analogue, Smooth, Pan, Dual, SOS (layering, sort-of looping), Warp (hold down pedal, hell breaks loose), Twist (as above, with pitch shifting), Reverse, Modulate and (hold your breath) Standard modes. Pretty comprehensive. It's got more of its own sounds than trying to sound like other pedals, except maybe on the more vintage modes.

What's available on the TC?

The TC Flashback is pretty much the same as the Boss DD-20, but costing much less. The TC goes for about $150. The cool think about the TC is the "toneprint" feature. You can download presets created by artist to install in the flashback via USB.

The Flashback is a nice pedal. I prefer the tape reverse on the BOSS DD7 a little better though I think. The DD7 doesn't have a looper though.

Awesome! I had no idea they were so similar. I use the Warp function quite a lot- where you hold down the pedal and it repeats it over and over- does the Flashback have something similar?

Nah....the flashback has nothing that comes close to the "warp" function.
