Alright, this is my first time posting on a forum. I bought a used Fender Twin Reverb Reissue (Not sure of the year, I can double check) a month or two ago off of Craigslist. The guy seemed like a reputable guy, but you never know with Craigslist. Anyways, I was playing to a backing track today- I was running my Dean from Hell through my Boss ME-50 effect board into the Fender twin. I had the distortion cranked and was jamming along. I heard a LOUD pop (like the sound of a gunshot) near the end of my session. I checked my PA where I was running the backing track and turned it off. I continued to play on the Twin and I heard another loud pop. I turned off the distortion and the amp still seemed to work. There was a slight buzzing, after turning off the highs mids and lows there was no buzzing but I assume the Twin has some sort of a buzz (correct me if I am wrong). Now I am afraid of what the deal is with my amp. I've decided to just leave it for studio tracking. This is my first tube amp and don't know how sensitive they are. I love the amp and the sound it exudes. Can you all please help me trouble shoot what the issue can be? How much it would cost to fix it and also recommend any reliable cheap-moderately priced technicians in the Los Angeles area who can help me maintain my amp? My main concern is the popping. Thank you everybody, I appreciate your help. Thank you again in advanced.

Sincerely, my best,

Justin Ashouri

Hi Justin you might want to post this in the modern amp section of the forum as well. There are plenty of knowledgeable people on here who can help you. Welcome to the forum. I know enough about mine to change the tubes when they go bad but not enough to venture a guess on your description. A bad tube generally doesn't act like that. :? Maybe a capacitor popped :?: Good luck... :)

So the only time this setup pops is with this amp?
Have you tried unplugging everything and plugging straight to the amp?
Sometimes bad cables will pop.
