One of the tiny ones? I think I saw a 1 or 2 lying in my friend's dad's studio.

I was thinking about a Marshall MS-2 or a Fender Minitone.

We also want to stop at rest stops and play for like an hour or so to see if people will buy us lunch at Sbarro or give us cash or something. Be kinda cool.

Highway Patrols and State police agencies generally take a dim view of this. You don't want to get charged with trespassing or a similar crime.

If you are simply playing for your own enjoyment, no problem.

If they see you taking cash, they may consider it panhandling/begging/etc. If they see you taking cash for music, they might call it a "commercial enterprise on government property" or some such thing.
