If you are able to get down to Austin, Texas, go to Antone's and the Continental Club for blues.

Unfortunately, Texas has been neglecting and disrespecting blues lately; there are few venues that are dedicated to the genre, and fewer new artists playing it. :(

While in that part of Texas, take the trip out to Fredricksburg and climb Enchanted Rock...it's no Ayers Rock, but it's beautiful, and right in the middle of the prettiest part of the state.

Alrighty... Flights have been booked!! I am doing a road trip around USA with 2other friends, yipee!

A couple questions. I am going to Austin Texas so i will visit Antonnes and Continental club! Can you just rock up or do you have to buy tickets?

Because car parts, guitar parts are more expensive here is it possible to bring some stuff home from U.S without being taxed? say if i bring something in my personal luggage... like a strat? lol. Ive never been on a plane so not sure :D

If your planing a road trip this time of year you might be making a mistake. In a month or so the snow will be flying, and depending where you are it can get prity ugly out there. The southern states are your best bet for the winter months, and the extreme west. California to Washington are usually OK but the mountainous driving conditions are brutal. Use extreme caution. You've got the mountains of northern California / south central Oregon, all big snow country. The Washington Cascads have some of the largest Annual Snow Falls on Earth. Other than that you should have a wonderful time. :) If you can stand A 2 or 3 day train ride through the back yards and forests of America AMTRAK is a good safe way to travel and meat a lot of nice folks at the same time. I've done it several times and it's a lot of fun. Just a thought. I know I've got a big mouth and a lot of nerve.
Have a fun and safe holiday/vacation. 8) And welcome to the U.S.A. in advance.
----Danny,

its a whole different kind of cold here in texas  it will be 70 and humid one day and drop below 20 the next and leave ice all over the roads. but who knows. and if you can check out the Yellow Rose Cabaret 6528 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78752
you won't be disappointed  what days of the year will you be in Austin?

Awesome! thanks alot for the advice you two ^^

I am actually going in Spring 8) will be arriving in L.A on late Febuary 2012.

We will be going from L.A to Las Vegas, Yosemite, San Fran, Austin, Miami, Tennesse, Washington then back to L.A. Something like that. Are the trains over there any good? were thinking of taking a train maybe to some places. Or are domestic flights fairly cheap?

Danny Duke: Should i be careful Cali - D.C mountain driving in Spring?
Any more input on these states would be much appreciated.

Also! Booze here is expensive! i pay around $22 for a six pack of Corona's!! How much in the U.S?

THANKS!!
