Quite a neck selection on that rack. I can imagine what the room will look like on a busy day, awaiting one's turn to size them up. :?

Thanks for the link. Now, do a bass-centric one.

Is there some way the 'skinny' on those very things could be posted to the Forum. There is interest in parts options and costs which those of us out here on the 'farm' have no access to.

Put a trip to the good old USA on your bucket list and include the West Coast on your itinerary. Something to look forward to. On this side of the pond, this old volcano watcher has had his eyes on Santorini for years. Now we even have Joe Bonnamassa recording there.

It may take me a bit, but I'll try to get some more details for you asap. I will say that my info is that the "American Designs" are meant to be part of the Fender Visitor Center experience. Nothing more (nothing less as well!). So, they are not Custom Shop related and they are not production series guitars, although again, my info tells me that they are closer to production and I expect that the pricing will be very similar in range.
more info as I get it!

cheers,
rob

From just the neck selection alone, it appears that quite a mix and match opportunity can be found there and it would be interesting to know what the price point works out to as compared to 'off the wall' guitars. It might be worthwhile to send my father-in-law [or other designee for that matter] in there to place an order for me. I see that sort of thing happening:idea:

Yes!! my thoughts could be correct on how this will work.We just need someone to buy one and tell us.It's kind of funny though that fender is lacking details.Has no one in our planet bought one yet? I mean stores advertise there products.Fender is a quality product that holds interest. I guess by not saying much leads to a hype I suppose, but really I do not want to cancel my vaction plans to visit corona and drop down 3k on a guitar.

I'll be there this winter. Can hardly wait!

Looking forward to seeing some of the models and comparing the neck shapes etc that you can't find up here in the moose pastures of the Great White North.

They say that you can buy a guitar on-site. Does anyone know, are they competitive with Musician's Friend etc or do they sell at full MSRP?

It will be a miracle if I make it out of there without a GAS attack. Better take the wife along.

Doc

The project is no more than two weeks out of the gate. No Forum member has reported having been there yet. The specs and pricing details are what is being asked for here. Brad is passing this interest along to corporate.

Just to add to your comment doc, I will say that fender should have known the interest would be there from day 1.It's suposively next to disney land and that opens up alot of interest to guitarists with families. And I can forsee alot of traffic at the vc. Also, unless they were paid actors they had pictures of people in a closed viewing of the fender expirence that they are trying to sell.I mean I'm in the retail world and if it wasn't for our location our lack of advertising would end us.But thanks for the videos and the pictures even if for, at the moment looks out of reach.

This is tantamount to a 'make your own ice cream sundae' at the Ben and Jerry's Factory. Did they expect that there would be strong interest beyond Corona CA? Who knows if that ever became a matter of discussion during the planning.
