Awesome score bluesguitar65! I'm a big Hendrix fan too. I got an email about these new releases.

The Winterland Box Set looks very interesting and I might get it, but I thought that the Hendrix in the West was only available on Vinyl, as the CD hasn't been available for many years, definitely want that one. I really like the quality, and quantity, of the newer stuff that has been released over the last several years, I hope these are as good.

"First Rays of the New Rising Sun", and "South Saturn Delta", were much better than the previous releases of similar material, and the live full concerts also much better than previous releases.

Hendrix is phenomenal.

I also got the Winterland CD boxset. I have the entire Winterland shows on bootleg, not nearly as great sounding as the CD. I also have the OOP 1987 Ryko 'Live at Winterland' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_at_Winterland. This actually is a great sounding CD, and one of the first CDs that I ever brought, when I got a player.

I already had 'Hendrix in the West', my brother Larry brought me from Japan when he toured there back in the late '80s. It was than only released on CD in Japan.

The Cavett show is good. I saw the original broadcast!

Looks like it was a good day! I recently completed downloading every possible collection of Jimi's music I could find through various media retailers. Jimi is responsible for many player's style, and to him all he was doing was jamming and having a good time; and hoping those listening would do the same.
