I just got an email from Rhino-Discs and they are offering a limited edition boxed set of the Smith's 8 Albums in CD and Vinyl format. These have all been remastered by Johnny Marr and even though I have all the Smiths recordings I placed my pre-order for the CD set with new liner notes. There are only 750 copies of each set going to the U.S. with the CDs at $60.00 the vinyl at $250.00 and the compilation boxed set at $280.00??-not sure on that one.Anyway it should be an interesting set for Smiths fans like me.Can't wait to get it.

+1!

That tune is often used as "bumper music" on the Coast To Coast radio show.

It's a classic groove!

The first smiths song i ever heard. Heard it when i watched "the wedding singer". That movie started my affair with 80s music.

Don't fret Jeremydawg or anyone else outside U.S. or Canada,Rhinodisc is selling 4000 of these sets worldwide.Delivery is free on orders over $50 so there is no shipping charges only taxes.RE How Soon Is Now,in an interview I read with Johnny Marr a couple of years ago they never made a note how they got that haunting slide effect so that's lost for ever.I did however see a clip of them playing it live with a slide effect but it wasn't near as good as the original was.Apparently the tremolo guitar was recorded first and then played back backwards so that's what makes it so hard to replicate.Oh yes and the Deluxe box set is $500 not $280 but it comes with a pile of case candy.Including the vinyl and CDs and vinyl 45s of all their singles and all kinds of posters and nic-nacs.
