a week!!!!

thats a couple of hours at the most.... .. put them in my strat . youll like the strat sound without the extra noise for sure. light a fire under this guy. took me just a couple of hours to do 3 pickups and a complete reset of the strat. the actual pickup change is about ten minuts once its opened up. hopefully hes not charging you by the hour to do this.

no offense, but it doesn't take a week to install a pickup and do a intonation check and tune a guitar my friend. I could do the same thing within one hour.

This leads me to believe that said teacher is jobbing it out and is merely a middle man.

Guys this kid is full of it,don't put much faith into what he says...last week he said he built custom guitars, not long ago he owned Buddy Holly's Strat...he's full of it and he's only 13...I tried to ignore his B/S but evidently his parents never taught him the value of telling the truth...nothing more to see here.

I find it quite hard to believe that a "guitar teacher" has a week's backlog for what I call, "Gas and Go" stuff.

As always, this is merely IMO where YMMV.

Are you paying him with eggs from your pet dodo, or fur from your pet unicorn?

Or maybe you'll let him ride in your fully restored 1983 Corvette...

Or loan him your Sasquatch to do some heavy lifting...

Or maybe you're trading work; you're building him a new alder body in exchange for putting in a new pickup...
