As of yesterday I've been off cigarettes for 6 weeks. My intentions were to save for a Rickenbacker 325,325/12,350 or 360/12 however my biggest fears have been realized, some guy has put a Rosewood Tele in the local Buy&Sell magazine. The Tele is MIJ but a Rosey has been on my GAS list since I saw George Harrison play one.I'm half tempted to phone the guy to find out the price and put off the Rick for another few months-I hate temptations.I was dreading that some long time GAS guitar would come along and her it is.

Congratulations on your six week anniversary of quitting. Your body is getting happier and happier. What a great problem you have. You know the adage here, get em both.

I would get the tele, unless it was a veneer model, in which case I'd hold out and get the rick.

I'd hang on and get the Rick first....when you get that then we'll go shopping for some more MIJ goodness :)

Your project is the Rickenbacker. :)
This other guitar came up.
A new barbecue might come up. :D
But you had pictured the Rickenbacker, and it´s on its way, if you still want it.

guitslinger, you were smart enough to quit smoking. with that in mind your choice of guitars should be good as well. looking forward to pic's. happy hunting!

guitslinger,

Congrats on the 6 week mark. I would hold off for the Ricky. Once you have that guitar, saving for a Rosey Tele or any other guitar will be little easier. Go for the big score first, not a bunch of little scores.

Congrats on 6 weeks!!!

Personally I think the Rick would have to trump the Tele at this point.

24 days for me.
Knock on wood.
No plans for new gear with the savings though.

Not a bad problem to have. I would go with the Rickenbacker for now. Had a goal, now go get that goal.

Call the guy about Rosey; if it's a steal on the price, pull the trigger...if it's that cheap, it might not set you back so much on your Ric goal.

If it's average priced, hold off for the the original GAS inducer.

I wish I had a pricey vice I could quit and free up some money.

I don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs, don't chase women (other than Lady Armadillo) and I drive an old car. The only thing I could give up to buy more guitars is...guitars. :?

Oh well.
