Should I get a new guitar or a new amp????

I am currently squelin on a a Squier Strat into a Mustang I Amp and its time for an upgrade for certain.


Guitars I am considering:
Fender Blacktop Telecaster
Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro
*I'm just gonna go to my "local" GC and try out these axes and choose which ever suites me

Amps I am considering:
Vox Custom Classic AC15CC1 15w 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
Fender Princeton Chorus

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Get the Blacktop Tele, save up a fue more $ and match it up with a 65 Reverb. You'll be satisfied with that choice for a long time. Really none of My concern, Just my thoughts. Bang on & remember your Ear Protection.

I didn't know I was voting on what you should get. I was thinking purely of myself as usual. The Vox amp is at the top of my short list by the way.

I say a new guitar is more important in your situation. Getting a higher quality guitar can make a huge difference in ones playing. Both guitars you're considering are good, solid guitars and playing a higher quality guitar, IMO, will help you to improve your playing. After you get the new guitar you can start saving toward a new amp; that VOX looks like a nice option.

I can´t picture you with this cool brand new amp and not having a guitar you LOVE.
I vote New guitar!
Bond with it.
Start plugging it into as many amps as you can, to discover.
The rest will take care of itself.

Right now I play out of a cheap, miserable 10w amp which I will not picture here!
With the help of the Forum, I plan to match my instrument to an amp in due time.
