@ DHD let me take a guess that that's an acronym for Dumb Heartless Dick.I posted this as do all forum users in times of trouble to bring attention to the plight of a friend and his family.I have known Scott for years and figured that the very least I could do was to reach out the brotherhood of friends I have in the forum.I believe greatly in the power of prayer and wanted to enlist the help of other consciencious forumites.I have noted many times in the past that you have made cynical and inappropriate comments but this one really scrapes the bottom of the barrel.I believe that I passed on this bit of advice to you before-if not to some other like minded cerebral Lilliputian-engage your brain before hitting the submit button.

That sucks. Why it was posted at a musical instrument/amplifier website is kind of strange. If one of my friends goes missing I call the police, not look for sympathy from strangers on the internet.

And why is the only reason you use this musical instrument/amplifier forum to be an idiot? I have never seen one useful post from you.

"As do all forum users" ?

Wrong.

"passed on this bit of advice to you" ?

I didn't ask for advice from you.

May I add that it's not that prayers are not enough, but that the prayers are not always answered the way we want. :/
On that note, "blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4

Needless to say, that's extremely tragic. My condolences and prayers for his family are most definitely in order.

After Scott's funeral on Thursday they held a celebration of his life at one of the bigger venues here and musician friends got up and played his favourite songs ,many said that they felt his presence there.A trust fund has been set up to assist his family with the the kid's education and all the expenses associated with the funeral etc.

Not meant to be insensitive at all, But a Medley of the songs, Played by your friend Scott's friends, would pack a lot of Good Mojo. The Music would probably sound More Beautiful Than Ever Before. Your Friend was probably There in Spirit. :) R.I.P. SCOTT.

First off, my sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to all who were close to the man who was lost.

Now,with regard to the distasteful commentaries, those of us who have been around here long enough have enjoyed and participated in the communal spirit which is shared among us and understand that there are many issues which can be brought to the table for mutual interest and support. It would be far too easy to invoke censorship through Brad however, in the spirit of free speech,[and that of the inimitable Officer Harry Callahan as well], I suggest we just scrape this one character off our collective shoes and move on.

Doc

I'll not bother to give a visceral reaction, but if you bother to notice, this topic is in the "General Discussion - Fender Lounge" section where many topics are discussed.

One day you will undergo this type of loss. I trust that in your time of grief, others will not act as you have. If they do so, then your karma will have been returned.
