You may recall that just over a week ago I posted a thread about a musician friend of mine who went missing.Their was just breaking news on the T.V. that the remains on an adult male were found in the park where they had intensified their search in the past few days. The body was found in the water at the bottom of a steep enbankment in a remote area of the park.

The outlook is bleak as nobody else had been declared missing in this area in recent times. His wife and children are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

I'm hoping for the best but it sounds kind of bad my friend. Still praying and will send my condolences if needed. Hope not!

I see that he has been found. My condolences to his family and friends

Sad news guys, I'm sorry to say. This was posted on the Find Scott Kelly Facebook site a short while ago by his uncle.

"WITH REGRET I AM WRITING THIS WITH A VERY HEAVY HEART, MY NEPHEW HAS BEEN FOUND, UNFORTUNATELY HE WAS NOT FOUND ALIVE.
ON BEHALF OF SCOTTS FAMILY AND EXTENDED FAMILY WE THANK EVERYONE OF YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS"

RIP Scotty....

I just read the notice posted by Scott's aunt on Facebook. This is such a tragic end for anyone to meet but all the more tragic because he leaves 3 heartbroken kids and a loving wife.Sometimes it seems like prayers are not enough but there's little else anyone can do now. Thanks all for your support for Scott's family.

That sucks. Why it was posted at a musical instrument/amplifier website is kind of strange. If one of my friends goes missing I call the police, not look for sympathy from strangers on the internet.

You got my hopes and prayers. Though I have had some truly hard losses over the past years, I have never lost a friend, so my heart goes out to you.

I am very sorry to hear about your friend. Things like this should make us all reflect more upon what a gift it is. It also should serve as a reminder that our time here is not unlimited. Make the most of it while you can. It is always later than your think!

I think it was a good idea to post the missing person info here. You never know where a missing person is going to show up. I am in a position to know first hand that it helps to post missing person information everywhere you possibly can and you did the right thing by posting it here. Police can not possibly search everywhere. And around these parts, a missing person report is only taken seriously by the local agency so if the person who is missing goes or is taken out of the immediate area they likely won't be found unless they are stopped by traffic police or otherwise inquired upon through the law enforcement computer database where missing/wanted files are maintained. Again sorry about your friend.

Hey...you're a dick!

How can you make a statement like that without knowing the story? Scott's story has been all over the news for over a week in this area now with police, family and friends looking for him. Guitslinger is now, and has been a part of the music industry in this neck of the woods for years and he, much like the rest of us, are expressing our sympathy and prayers for a fellow musician who's life has taken an unfortunate turn for the worst.

You should keep your gob shut and move on if you don't have anything good or supportive to say....arsehole!
