Here you go... Sing a long with it if you want. You know the words... Grab your Strat and play along too...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC5RepxkDiU

During the 2nd guitar solo, I make a mistake or two (added too many notes, fat fingered the solo a little, etc...), but don't know if I did David Gilmour any justice by playing the tune along with the CD on the stereo.

I also hope it's not considered sacrilege to use a Fender Frontman 65r on the drive channel with no effects or anything, when playing the tune.

Beautiful bit of guitar work there. (It was way better than just OK) I enjoyed it very much. I think now, we want more. 8) :)

Wow, thanks guys!! 8)

I can play "Wish You Were Here" on 12 string acoustic, but have never recorded/video'd myself doing it.

I can play "Money" on 4 string bass, but not electric. I don't have a custom-made 24 fret Strat style guitar that David Gilmour used on DSOM, for the lead track on "Money".

I guess it's safe to say that us older guys can still rock out!

Great stuff Butch! I'd like to hear "Wish You Were Here" The main reason I bought my Martin 12 string was to work on this song. Haven't done much with it in the last couple of months but it's still on the back burner. Not done yet!

Cool.. Find a backing track and dispense with the original altogether.

My collaborator and I have played CN so many times at gigs. I was with you for every note even though I play keyboards on the song!

But Wish You Were Here - that we play afterwards - get's an even bigger reception. Just 2 voices and 2 acoustic guitars. There really is something about that song that has an effect on any audience. If I could understand what it is, I'd have a lot of money..

"Time", "Comfortably Numb" and "Wish You Were Here", have ended our cover's set for years. When we don't play them, I just get abuse from any of our regulars that may be there and they just call for them anyway! We've become hostages to Pink Floyd lol..

Very nice. The great sound makes me wonder about "infallible web dogma" concerning amps. :?
