Hello all,

You guys have been chatting alot about how fast he was.

Please school me on the fantasticness of his playing so I can appreciate.

Post vids or clips here please so I can check it out. I was only a mild fan, and never really gave the Who too much of a serious listen growing up in the '70's.

I am a bass player and love to check out great playing.

Thanks, y'all for the education!

Listen to his solos on Call Me Lightnin' and 5:15-they say it all. Also listen how simple yet extremely heavy his pounding bass bottom fills in on Magic Bus.

Entwistle was great. Is really hard to play like him. But why to play like Entwistle? Don't you want your own style?

Sorry if I shocked anyone's sensibilities by not knowing much about his playing. :D

I am just interested in hearing his great tracks without having to sift through hours of material, so I was hoping for some song references.

I will check out those posted.

Thanks.

Just go and buy "Tommy", "Live At Leeds", and "Who's Next" (about three and half hours', total).

If those don't convince you of The Ox's technical prowess and sheer genius, then nothing will.
