I'm still in school, but my favorite class would have to be... ummm... well I had to drop out of Jazz Band because I was getting sick a lot... can't say that... my math and science teachers are crazy... my social studies teacher is trying to be 25 years younger, even as we speak... but my english teacher's pretty cool... wait! I got it... whatever class the girls are in... 8)

Since I didn't really attend high school, the bus was just a ride to the party..I'd have to say my favorite class was smoking behind the gym. Which is probably why I was kicked out after 3 1/2 years in 9th grade. Something about a freshman with a beard and long hair scaring all the newbies in home room. I don't know, it's all a bit of a haze to me after all those years. Truth is someone passed me something rolled in 1972 and the next think I knew it was 1986.

When I was in school I naturally hated it. But my favorite class had to be automotive, I took that for the 2 hour spot, last 2 periods of the day. That's the only thing I liked about school, the teacher was cool too, so that helped a lot, he would let us smoke if we ever had a car to work on outside and if you really wanted to get on his good side, all you had to do was buy him a can of Skoal. It was also the only class I passed, hehe. I took that class for like 3 years, I was in the 9th grade for those 3 years too (I failed the 8th once and the 9th three times). I quit school when I finally passed the ninth at 19 years old, but I said to hell with it anyway.

I didn't take music or anything in school. Because frankly I wasn't into playing music at that time. I didn't start pickin' guitar until about a year after I quit school.

Band, hands down.

I'm really dating myself, but I took a Typewriting class in High School eons ago (IBM Selectrics, just like in 'Mad Men'), back when computers were as big as a desk (the WHOLE desk) and they used punch cards. Who knew it would come in handy? Kids are lucky nowadays.

sigh, another day, another wonderful thread from hotice, but at least this is a bit more respectable than others.... i'd hate english, i can ace math and science quite easily, but reading old english literature and things like conjugate adjectives and such aren't my thing

I used to go to school. I, of course, like band. I was teacher's Aide in Chorus, and English (I don't know how I Landed that, I can't spell!)

But may I say to anyone who is still in school, pay attention in science class. Specially to the part about Compression Waves, how they divide, peaks, troughs, crest, cancelation. You'll find that information very valuable in music.

Since I was kicked out of 5 High Schools in my Junior year and was finally given the option of going to Juvenile Hall or Joining the Military (This option was much more appealing), I would have to say None Of The Above.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend my way to any kid these days.

It was different in the 70's. My teachers were young hippies who just graduated college and were doing the exact same thing we were.

I had one english class I went to once in a while because the teacher had made the course about The Hobbit. We had to read it, discuss it, learn the olde english. Can you imagine an english class today with a whole quarter dedicated to buzzed discussions about The Hobbit?

Damn the times were way different..till Ronny Raygun came along and shut the whole party down.

Hello Hotice and All,

I really liked biology, back then we actually dissected little
critters and had microscopes, flasks, beakers, testubes and
all kinds of lab stuff. Field trips to the creek behind school.
Man that class was like a vacation. Those were the days.

Cheers.
