Hey!!! Has anyone ever used Arion foot pedals? I started using them in the early to mid 8os. After using Boss, DoD, Digitech, and all those other brands, I stumbled upon Arion. They were pretty cheap but man did they sound good. I could never really find a distortion pedal that I was comfortable until I found the Arion distortion pedal.
Later in the 80's I just started using all rack gear. Even after using such great digital units as the GSP2101, and the ART SGX 2000, and the RockTron Chamealeon I still appreciated the great tone of the Arion Distortion pedal.
So now...I just went back to a simple setup. A Fender amp, a Fender or PRS Guitar, and a few pedals. Once again,I checked out all the big names and still I could not find that Arion sound. But after just a little research I have found that Arion is still making pedals. OMG Happy days!!! I just wonder if they're the same pedal. I cannot try one out because it's all factory direct now. But if they are as good as they use to be. I can get my distortion, compressor, and a delay for under $175. And if they are the same quality as they use to be. It's the best money you can spend. Their distortion pedal use to blow the Boss DS-1 out of the water. Does anyone use these pedals and are they still as good as they use to be. They look the exact same way they did in the 80s.

Thanks: Mark

Their website, http://www.arionpedals.com/ has a link to some utube demos. They don't sound too bad.

I have no experience with Arion pedals, but if you are unable to find the one you are looking for, try an MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion (yes that's what it's really called). IMO the '78 is one of the nicest sounding distortion pedals out there. I prefer O/D pedals though.

Ya know...I never really liked the MXR sounds for some reason but it has been some years since I really tried any of them. I can get the Arions pretty easily now that I found their web site. I ordered 4 or 5 of them already.

Thanks guys!

Wow!! They were always very dependable for me. I did have Digitech multi effects pedal that I got last year that died on its first gig out. That really sucked.

I still have my first Arion pedal from the 80's. It's the pedal tuner. Still works great.

Looks a lot like this one.

My battery cover has long since been lost though.

my first distortion pedal was an Arion back in 89-90. I was just starting out and got it for 20 bucks. Wish i still had it.
