It hasn't rained in months.

The grass is so dry I'm afraid to walk too quickly in my yard--the friction might start a fire.

Nearby Lake Texoma has been renamed Pond Texoma.

On the plus side, we have a cold front moving through, and the temp will not reach above 87F today (it's been between 103F and 110F).

If there is any rain in your area, please send it to:

It's tough for an armadillo to scream when he has a dry throat. :? 8) How do you manage? When I was a kid in San Antonio 54/55 some kids my age claimed to have never seen Rain. That would have put them about 12 years old.  Now in the state of Washington, My Grand kids joke about never haveing seen the Sun. 8) 8)

I wish I could send you some. There's no end in sight where I am just outside Philadelphia, Pa. It's pretty bad and they're calling for more flash floods today. We're still recovering from Irene.

I'm going to put an umbrella up and start walking, when somebody asks "Hey what's that thing?", I'm staying right there. :(

same here armadillo. i'm really diggin' the cooler weather but damn, we need rain. alot of rain.
we finally got out to my favorite pond yesterday and i could have cried. not just because i almost stepped on 3 snakes but the water level is very low. it will take alot of rain to undo the damage caused by this drought. still no rain in sight.

Wouldn't mind some of that rain out here in the Bay Area...been hot, dry and windless, after an unseasonably cool June and early July.

In June it rained 28 of 30 days here and in July it rained 24 out of 31.August was refered to as Fogust and so far Sept. has been so so with 2 out of 5 witth rain. It's too bad we can't share our abundance of precipitation with those less priveledged.

IT RAINED TODAY IN SAN DIEGO! It's still "summer" here and we're just getting to the time when we have our hottest weather. It was hot today, and the humidity was ALMOST like Florida. I wonder if this means we're going to have a wet winter. We need it.
