If you are in the DFW area, you could do worse than to visit this blues fest. I went last year and it was the bomb!

I went to see Buckwheat Zydeco and Jonny Lang last night. Buckwheat Z. was a ton of fun and played like it was what they were born to do. Buck did a schtick where he had a young man from the crowd come up and hold down a note on his accordion. "No matter what happens, just keep hold this key down." he told him. They launched a rockin' tune and every now and then the band would back off, and there would be "the note" hanging around. It was pretty funny.

Jonny Lang came out swingin'. He didn't "build up" to anything. He had obviously got good and warmed up backstage.

There were a lot more people there this year. Tonight is Buddy WHittington and Buddy Guy, BTW.

Jonny can really tear it up. I've never seen him live but I'll bet it is quite a show.....
