Fender should make a Tele with two humbuckers with the ability to switch to single-coil. This way you have the old fashioned bluesy twang Tele with the newer black face style fat rock sound, and here comes the kicker, have it for only $500

This will be maybe good on Strat. If you put this humbucker instead of middle single-coil.

Probably cost you a little more than $500, but not much more.

In your opinion.

I like it. Street price is $630.

What do YOU want it to look like?

If that is considered hideous, what do you want in a Tele?

That SE is the epitome of a Telecaster.

It has the classic Tele bodylines and as far as I'm concerned it looks more like a Tele than The H/H Jaguar looks like a Jag should. For years there have been variations made on the Tele with the addition of the Customs,Deluxes,Esquire etc. and all have been true to the original Tele form and function.

That sounds like a blacktop thats been modded for coil splitting, which isn't a particularly big deal.

Im just looking for a workhouse with versatility, and i think the ultimate form would be in a slick calssic tele shape and color with both the classic twang of single coil and the ability to get a fatter sound with the humbuckers, but make em like Aniko and maybe have some better hardware, i mean market wise i could easily be willing to pay $600 for something of that type
