So I was taking my Jagmaster out of the case the other day and the lid fell and the latch hit the face of the guitar. Put a small ding on it. Its not too noticable, but I know its there! I expect this as my other guitars have their share of bumps and bruises, but this really bothers me. Oh well, just the first of many now out of the way!

Because it's the first one. Look on the bright side, it'll get easier from here.

It's all part of the bonding prosses, procse.. prosce..thingy, now it's got a personality all it's own, you'll hate yourself for a while then deflect the hate on IT for getting itself into those situations, now you're ready to stop babying it and give it a darn good thrashing, go on plug that bad boy in and let rip ROCK ON :)

I used to have a huge waterbed with a big wood frame and a friend of mine grabbed my tele and smacked it against the side of the bed. He says to me, Oh these guitars are tough, they can handle it. He never touched my guitar again!

Case latches are evil. Yet getting a ding on my strat is nothing compared to the damage a latch can make to your acoustic guitar top. But I guess the instrument isn´t really yours until you start with the wear and tear. I usually let other people handle my fine guitars, it just seems so snobbish to forbid it. I suffer through it.

I have never dinged one of my guitars hard enough to leave a mark, but other people have dinged them while playing them.I never ever lend gear any more and I'm very very fussy who I let play my guitar. If you want to lend someone gear ask yourself why he wants a lend of it,if it's because he can't afford his own, walk away, because if he can't afford his own then he also can't afford to get yours fixed if he damages or looses it.
