Then again, I just nitro-ed a Tele with Sonic Blue and some vintage amber on top and it looks green to me.

Sunlight is the true lighting source to judge colors by. Studio lighting and strobes can shift the perceived colors. Keep in mind that most people do not have calibrated computer monitors, so colors are often off a bit.

Nice pics John. PV is a great place.

The lighting does make a difference. The AVRI '57 Strat also has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish while the Pawn Shop '72 has polyester. That could also account for the color variation.

PV is a great place even during one of the hottest, driest and dustiest summers on record. It will be even better next month. I'm looking forward to it. :)

John, really nice guitars...love the one on the left, looks like my old '65....of course on this computer it looks Sonic blue. :D

Yeah, the Classic Player 60s on the left is definitely Sonic Blue. The finish and the mint green pickguard look darker in bright desert sunlight. Call it Sonic Blue with a sun tan.
