Ok sitting in my office bored out of my mind watching traffic. Wondering which of the 2 has made the most significant impact. I can still do my job without the computer just wayyyyyy more inefficient. But I couldn't walk to work 27 miles one way everyday. Especially in the cold Ohio months. So I guess it's the car for me.

What is this "car" and "computer" that you speak of? I'm sitting here on my horse, with an abacus in my saddle bag, and everything is AOK. I heard that if you use one of those cars, you must stop and fire a shotgun in the air to warn others, before proceeding through an intersection.

Historically speaking, I should think it is the development of the glass manufacturing industry that has had the biggest impact upon my life. That's pint glasses I'm talking about, obviously.

If I must choose between cars and computers, well then I have observed that at the supermarket I can fill my car with beer and that is a most useful and convenient thing. However, as soon as I try to fill my computer with beer it explodes and dies, which is of no use to anyone.

So I'd say cars score over computers every time.

The car has had a bigger impact, in my opinion. I'd much rather do without Facebook and email that have to travel everywhere on either a bike or a horse and buggy!

(TRAINS) Facilitate the transportation of most all goods from the far East across the U.S.A./LAND BRIDGE, to Europe. With out them goods would be so expensive no one would be able to afford them. Unless of course they were produced locally like in the 19Th. Century and before.

That's true of MODERN cars, John. But prior to the 1980's American cars had no computer control systems in them. I'd hate to have to walk everywhere I go, so my vote is for the car.
