Here's a sample of the Tone Press. I posted this in another thread recently as a demonstration of the amp (an Egnater Rebel 20), but it serves here, too. This is a Strat-style guitar with EMG-SVs through the Tone Press into the Rebel. Reverb was added in post.

While the guitar signal is a bit more than moderately compressed, you still hear the glassy single coil attack, and the release sounds like natural decay. I've found that Barber's claim is true... The blend control saves you the trouble of screwing with threshold and release.

I also looked at that page I linked abdove and noticed that the Tone Press is currently out of production. They may have had trouble getting a key component, but I seriously doubt that it is permanently out of production.

Thanks stratoBobster!! The Pigtronix Philosopher´s Tone compressor really caught my attention!
I am sure the blend control will allow me to dial in the subtle rates I need!
