I figured this should go here because is not a Fender amp.

Just looking for some thoughts on it from anyone that owns one. I play alot of blues so I am looking for a warm tone. I love the DRRI, but heard some clips on youtube that were quite impressive out of this thing.

Just a general description, usual stuff. What you play, versatility, quality, reliability.

I m heading to the store this week to try one out. I hope they have one. But wanted to get a heads up on it here first.

I'd be thinking about the model with the Blue speakers.

Thanks in advance to all that post.

I have a Custom Classic Head and the 4*10 cab(your life aren't complete without an ac30 and I had too much cash so why not go with the biggest(read; most versatile) combination  ) It rocks, it just plain rocks, you can get what ever tone you might want and it's even possible to make that monster sound really good at bedroom levels. Fender amps are known for their great clean tone, but IMO nothing beats ac30s in getting that crystal clear yet organic tone. Except HiWatts but that's another price range
I play through a fender champion 600 most of the time though :?Need to get an attenuator
Ac30 heads and marshall cabs IS THE classic rock/vintage tone/aggressive blues combo of choice IMO

As I'm writing I'm thinking about selling my cab and get a 15" speaker and have some amp guru build my head and the speaker into some fancy wood cab like CAFeathers Blues Junior in walnut

You're not going to get dissapointed :D

I have a vintage Fender Princeton from `63 but I recently bought a Vox DA 15. Its not the same model your asking about but its loaded with special affects and for $140 you can`t go wrong.

I just got an AC30 a couple months ago. I absolutely love playing my 57RI strat through it. I have it A/B'd w/ a Marshall JCM2000, this is the best combination for my style of playing. I highly recommend grabbing one soon.

Though I don't own one, I have to say the AC30 TB is one of the best pure tube amp out there. Plug in a strat and its like "oh yeah, I know that tone anywhere!".

I guess you hear about the Vox line of tube amps AC 15 & 30. Each has 2 models with and withour the celestion blues. They have great tone. I actually own two Fender tube amps hot rod Deluxe & blues deluxe 410 and you know, they sound pretty good against any amp I have played in a store.

Thanks alot guys. I had a quick chance to play it tonite. Sounds great. But I kept going back to a DRRI. I couldnt get over the clean channel on it.

But to anyone that owns a VOX, my god you have a great amp. It seems this decision will be a little harder then I thought.
