I have a bad left hand from a bike accident. Lost muscle tone for good. I stick by 010-046 strings. Yet I envy and admire people using heavier gauges, because for me it´s all about that thick strat tone. I´m ok with not being really hot on guitar, as long as my tone sings! I speculate about Buddy Guy using 009´s, I suspect he does because of the ease in bending I see on camera close-ups. Obviously one of my heroes, yet sometimes his tone is too shrill for me. So, is it both the pickups AND the lighter string set? Also, I am concerned that if I were to try the 011 set regardless of my injured hand, that the intonation would change on my expensive Fender instrument, I don´t want to mess with the awesome CS settings! I appreciate your advice out there!
