Saw Jerry at rheged (Penrith) guitar fair today doing a few tunes and answering questions on his kit etc.

Now plays a fret king with Trev Wilkinson bits and it sounded ace, mind you he probably makes all guitars sound good lol.

Nice polite bloke to listen to.

Hi Al: I have a strange premonition that I shall be seeing Jerry in a couple of weeks time. (At a Fret-King clinic.)

Very cool guy.

Cheers - C

Congrats on your 1000th post m8 cool pic too.

Ceri thats interesting, the guitar he played looked like a Tele much like his previous Peavey lol.

In order of ease of dealing with company wise, he said worst. . Fender, a bit better, G and L then Peavey and lastly Fret King, mind you probably not gonna say Fret King are hard work even if it was the case hehe.

Hi Al: Jerry Donahue is a fabulous player and such a nice, laid back guy too. I'm really looking forward to it.

Regarding the guitars, if a guy was in the market for a non-Fender T-type then Jerry's Sig Peavey sure is pretty. Gorgeous deep trans finishes on them. I love the headstock shape as well, for what that's worth.

Nick (-ininja) was on the phone going nuts over some Green Label (UK built) Fret-Kings he demo'd the other day. I've tried a couple too and they are really excellently spec'd machines. Trev Wilkinson sure knows a thing or two about guitar building. Though call me a girlie but I just can't quite get on with the batwing headstock design on 'em. Shallow of me, huh?

Cheers - C
