Hey all so I have this vision of a dream guitar and I'm wondering if anyone knows if one with these specs exists or if I'll have to build it one day. I know this is probably a complete pipedream, but worth a try. Here we go:

-Mahogany body for a big warm tone.
-Quilt maple top for looks
-Maple neck for snappy pristine highs
-Floyd Rose
-24 frets
-Big fat humbucking pickups

Bonus:
-I love strat bodies and the feel of a Fender neck.
-I love the neck finish (or lack there of) on EVH Wolfgang guitars
-Binding on the neck, headstock, and body is beautiful.
-I like the look of pickguards, but don't want to sacrifice routing out as much wood as a normal strat. I don't know if anyone even does pickguards without the full strat-style routing.

I have one with the Mahogany Body, Flame Maple Top, Maple Neck (available two years) and nice Humbuckers

There are lots and lots and lots of guitars just like that. Just go to any guitar center.....Hamer made tons of Mahogany guitars with maple necks in the 80's. So did ESP, Charvel, Jackson, Gibson. Most had Floyd Roses on them and had humbuckers because the shred metal sound was pretty much dependant on the double coil sound.
The guitar your describing is actually a pretty common axe.

Whoops. I should have specified that I want an all maple neck. Sorry.

Beautiful instruments you have there, cvilleira!

I know these sorts of specs were pretty common in the 80's (Man I love those huge tones they had back then!) I just haven't been able to find a new guitar like this. The new Charvel's have alder bodies. They were the first company I looked at. Serious bummer.

I think the biggest problem is that I want a brand new guitar for warranty purposes and whatnot.

Still yet again...common guitar made all through the 80s. Many Hamer Californian models were made exactly like what you are describing.

Mark, I must be blind or horrible at google searches ha. I can't find any Hamer guitars with all maple necks. The Californians they have on the site have rosewood fretboards and maple bodies. Again, I want this to be a brand new instrument. Maybe you can help point me in the right direction before I go scouring all of the local guitar shops for one :)
