I must say that you have really great taste in music!

I've known Magic Slim for many years, and I still act like a '13yr old girl meeting Bieber' around him.

He's the reason that I brought my '66 Jazzmaster, Image
after seeing Slim with one on the original cover of 'Grand Slam'http://www.amazon.com/Grand-Slam-Magic-Slim/dp/B00004S7IQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=dmusic&ie=UTF8&qid=1314364155&sr=1-1. I still have the original vinyl album, that I had copied to cassette, and played along with it hours at a time to learn Slim's solos.

His vibrato is just amazing! It wasn't until I saw him play live that I realized that he used a thumb and finger pick. This is because Slim only has three fingers on his right hand. He had two fingers amputated in a cotton gin wire bailer as a child.

It was Magic Sam that gave Magic Slim his blues' nickname.

Yeah, I haven't played anything by Slim in quite a while. I think he's playing his new Les Paul more than his Jazzmasters these days.

He did, just for a minute, I think Gibson gave him one, but went back to a Jazzmaster.

The other guitar player in that clip is John Primer. John is a monster guitarist and a really nice guy

He has a new CD 'Call Me John Primer'
