Aug 26 is going to be a sad day for all guitar players...the anniversary of the world losing Stevie Ray Vaughan and much too soon.

I suggest a moment of silence for a man who had pulled his personal and professional life together only to be lost to the guitar loving public. A tragic loss to the world of Blues players.

I still remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the terrible news.Thankfully I got to see him just a couple weeks prior to his untimely death.Hats off to one of the greats.I almost didn't buy tickets...glad I did.We love ya SRV.

We nearly lost EC in the same tragic accident.

Stevie played here just weeks before his tragic crash and spoke freely to the audience about beating drugs and how great he felt being clean again. It's horrible that this happened right after he got his life back on track.BTW I was so close to the stage that I could've literally reached out and touched his Clyde McCoy Wah or alligator skin boots.

I remember that day as well...couldn't believe it when I first got the news. He's by far my favourite blues player.
