I'm a fan. I spent many hours playing Strats (and then bought a Tele...but that's a different story), when I was going to buy my last guitar. Besides the Hwy 1 I had planned to buy, the Standard I was playing was my next favorite Strat for sure. I'd say the quality is right up there with any other MIM Fender, so no worries there. Some pretty nice guitars are coming out of the Mexico factory these days.

I have 3 MIM Fenders and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.The Standard Strat is an excellent guitar.

Groovy, its settled then, ima have one sent to GC for pickup, i hate buying a guitar and having it shipped to the house not knowing what could go wrong

No standard Strats at your local GC? The GC I now work at has tons of standards.
