Nothing wrong with noobs. We were all noobs at one point. We talk about Gibbys, Ricks and even an occasional Ibanez and Egnater amps too. I didn't realize we have avatar police now. Anyway, if you have some Fender ink, show it.

To all concerned. These Forums are a great place to come, relax, learn and help each other when we get the opportunity.

I've been hanging around for four years and have seen a lot of people come and go. I'm always amazed that there are those who insist that their opinion is the only one that matters. What really amazes me are the one's who will put down what I refer to as "the resident experts", guys who have proven their knowledge and abilities. We've lost some good guys to NNDB's who drove them away.

When we get a "Noobie" , there is no way of knowing who it might be. This IS the internet, we could be talking to ANYONE.

I'm really hoping that this kind of nonsense stops, being realistic, I know it won't. If it does, then we deal with it.

By the way, welcome to the Forums, usually I lurk in the bass Forums, come and v
isit.

Recap:-I call someone a noob(which he is and I dont mind noobs) and call him out for crapping on a cool thread a admin started.
-Noob gets feelings hurt and starts internet bragging and calling me out
-Self appointed forum police(SAFP) read the word noob, and start pile-driving me without addressing the rest of my post
-Noob still has hurt feelings
-I try to save Brad's thread by offering to take the drama to pm's and finishing it there but the noob refuses(and continues to show me disrespect by refusing to spell my name right)
-Thread keeps getting bumped, still no new tats :|
-SAFP keep the drama going

You know Ox, I've been here 4 years also. For the most part like it, I'm a huge Fender fanboy. That said I notice most folks dont stick around long. Either you share the same opinion as the SAFP or you "get dealt with". There are some awesome posters here that have been super helpful to anyone who asks and then there are some posters with a annoying sense of self-importance. Maybe if the SAFP didnt gang up on folks this forum would be busier. I know I've backed out of posting on some threads after seeing someone bashed for a opinion.
Notice I got bashed for calling someone a noob but no one bats a eye when the SAFP call me out for my low post count.
Also, if one of the SAFP had made the same post I did, the rest of the SAFP would be high-fiving them.

Sorry, had to be said.
<waits for brow-beating>

----Danny,

No, it just means that you don't feel a need to impress others by drawing stuff on your skin.... Not sure who that impresses anyway.

As you can tell, I think tats are pretty stupid... I especially like how they look after a few years, when they get faded and blurry.... :)

Of course, "tramp stamp" removal should be a booming business in a few years!!

Scram noob. Why come in a thread and pizz on it by calling the subject "stupid"?

good call Bro.
I have tats, haven't any pictures of them though.

I can't remember where I heard this quote but I thought it was cool...

"My body is a temple, I just choose to decorate it."

Hah very funny Brad but we were technically all noobs at once. Hey, as i say "nothin beats a Fender or Gibson, But why are they in competition? Nothing wrong with a ES 335 with a Fender Pro or a Deluxe Reverb or a Strat with a gibson amp!"

"Scandally glad women": fabulous! :D

That qualifies as Forum phrase of the week as far as I'm concerned. At least!

Cheers guys - C

With all of 75 posts, you aren't exactly Jack Anderson here either Monty. "SCRAM" is not how we treat our Fender brothers and sisters here.
