I've loved John since first hearing his first LP. As far as a favourite tune GOD...as far as that goes I dunno maybe Hello in There...Sam Stone...Come Back to the Five and Dime Barbara Beaurigaurd Hare-Krishna Lewis.....

I got turned on to John Prine way back in the day, my hippie days, actually. He was hanging around with Steve Goodman and I once saw him in the same show as Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Gordon Lightfoot. My butt still hurts from sitting on that gym floor (might have been at Iowa State or U of I)for hours and hours, waiting for everyone to do their part of the show. Those guys are either dead now or hurting pretty bad. Time flies.
